Kitchen Designs That will be Trending in 2023

2023 is just around the corner. With a huge revolution in the design and interior world, we are ready to experience some stunning new design trends this year too.

As every year, we have a set of new designs, all set, to make a prominent spotlight in the midst of others; in 2023, we will have some new ones too. And if you are specifically planning to get your kitchen renovated, then you have stopped by the right place.

But before you plan a major renovation, always make sure that your residential gutter installation is in perfect functioning. Likewise, your plumbing system should be working just fine to certify that all tasks are done properly.

Without any further ado let’s get into the top kitchen design trends that will be booming in 2023.

Technology:

Smart devices and kitchen appliances have already paved their way into our lives. But in 2023, smart technology will be a major part of kitchens. It is expected to increase ten fold in the coming year. This will include all types of kitchen appliances that will be connected with the Wi-Fi or your smartphone.

From touchless faucets to voice activation appliances; kitchens will become extremely tech-friendly. And if you are designing a new kitchen, we highly recommend you to get these installed in your space.

Mixed Metals:

A huge combination of different surfaces and finishes will be seen in the coming year. From brass to stainless steel and from bronze to nickel; a mixture of different metals is very strong visually. It helps you create a regal outlook for your space. However, being smart while you play with an array of finishes is also very important. You can consult an interior designer about this, if you are doubtful.

Butcher-Block Islands:

A butcher block island is a style statement in itself. However, beyond the style, it is extremely functional and durable too, which is why it is trending a lot lately. Walnut is a trending color for the butcher block but you can definitely opt for any, according to your kitchen space. You can further add functionality to your custom kitchens space through a mini fridge for extra storage.

Low Kitchen Drawers:

Kitchens with lots of drawers and great storage are on the rise nowadays. Easily gliding drawers have already made their way into the kitchen design world. However, they will be seen a lot more in 2023, according to the pros. Moreover, additional lights inside the drawers are another huge design trend that will be seen on the rise, in the coming days.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

Planning how to renovate a kitchen is not an easy task. You need to make sure that everything is synchronizing well. From the design to the materials; each element must look perfectly put together. If you feel the need of hiring an interior designer; always do so because designing your home is a lifetime investment. And you must do so wholeheartedly.

There isn’t just one answer here. Alice Arterberry and Barrett Cooke of Arterberry Cooke believe the newest kitchens will have two or three contrasting, complementary shades. “Monochromatic kitchens lack depth and visual interest. Complementary hues in a kitchen can elevate the area while still being timeless.”

Open floor plans and particularly open kitchens are controversial topics in the design world right now. While it’s a practical choice for some, many homeowners have grown tired of this design choice in a post-pandemic world. Harris’ clients have been asking to close up their kitchen walls. “Especially for families, people no longer want to see dirty dishes and boxes of cereal while they eat dinner or entertain. We have clients with open floor plans who are building walls to separate their kitchens from their dining rooms. This more traditional style is coming back with the kitchen, dining room, and sitting room all compartmentalized. It allows you to curate a unique space.”
