INTRODUCTION:
Anyone looking for a superb trekking destination, from novices to seasoned adventurers, should choose the Bhrigu Lake Trek. At 14000 feet, the Bhrigu lake can be found. The magnificent Pir Panjal range can be seen from the top of this lake. Many believe that saint maharishi Bhriigu used to meditate here. The lake’s name is derived from his name. The Adrenaline Rush that you will experience when you trek to Bhrigu Lake is amazing. It will be a wonderful experience to see the beautiful Meadows covered by the entire trekking path. Manali to Bhrigu Lake are 22 kms.
This amazing trek to a high-altitude lake can be done from May through October. You can also visit this place in August. Summer night temperatures can reach 7 to 8 degrees Celsius. Day temperatures can range from 23 to 26 degrees Celsius. This trek can also be done in monsoon. For entry to the forest check point, you will need a copy your ID card. You will need to bring a trekking pole, water bottle, snacks such as energy bars/ dried fruits/ chocolates, a rain cover, good backpack with raincover, trekking shoes, sunscreen and medicine for fever, cough, high altitude sickness, etc. Avoid this trek if you have heart disease, asthma, high blood pressure or heart problems. Normal fitness is sufficient to complete the Bhrigu lake trekking. Buran Ghati Trek is an additional option.
Trekking Itinerary
Day 1
You will need to reach Manali on the first day. Once you have reached Manali, drive towards the gulaba. It takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to cover the 24 km distance. Trackers must then head towards Jonker Thatch after reaching Gulaba. The 1.5km trek can be done in 1.5 to 2 hours.
You can also take a day off to rest in Manali. Manali is a great place to go sightseeing. The Hadimba Temple, Vasisht Temple, Manu Temple, Jogini Falls, and Manu Temple are all available to you. The ultimate pleasure will be having a night on Manali’s mall road. You can find some delicious roadside cuisines here. These dishes are delicious. You will see artists illustrating beautiful scenes on pieces of wood at the mall. This wall can be purchased and hung from them to keep Manali’s memory alive.
Day 2
Trekkers must complete their regular breakfast before they can trek Jonker Tatch towards Roli Kholi. You can walk the total distance of 5 km in 3.5 to 4 hours. Roli Kohli can be found at 12,590 feet. It is a moderately steep climb. Roli Kholi will be your first can site. You can see the magnificent Himalayas and the stunning Hanuman Tibba. You can stay the night at Rola Kholi or Roli Kholi.
Day 3
You will find this day exciting and unforgettable. After getting up in the morning, you will need to travel towards Roli Kholi to Bhrigu Lake. It takes between 7.5 and 8 hours to complete the 10 km track. You will climb from 12,590 to 14,009 feet. The amazing water of Bhrigu Lake will show you the mountains. It will be a memorable experience. You can stay here for up to an hour and take some incredible photos before you head back to Roli Kholi. You will need to spend the night at the campsite after you arrive.
Day 4
You will need to start your trek again from Roli Kholi, Gulaba. It takes approximately 3.5 to 4 hours to complete the 5 km trek. Today, you will need to descend from 12,590 to 9,875 feet. You will need to return to Manali after you reach the base village.
How to Reach Manali
Pathankot is the nearest railway station to Manali. A direct bus will take to you to Manali, which is 300 km from the railway station. You can take a bus, taxi or bus to Manali after you have reached the Bhuntar airport in Manali. It will take 14 hours for an overnight bus to reach Manali from Delhi. You can also travel overnight from Chandigarh to Manali. It takes approximately 10 hours.
